Courtenay Lawn Bowling Club bowlers have done it yet again. Archie and Linda Harris won five out of five games to capture the North Island and Powell River Zone Pairs event, Sept. 15-16, in Courtenay. Lots of fun, games and costumes at Courtenay club's annual fundraiser Pat Cutt Special to the Record Courtenay Lawn Bowling Club had a fantastic Carnival Day on June 19. Carnival Day is a fundraiser to assist with clubhouse renovations in partnership with the City of Courtenay. Bowlers from Parksville, Qualicum and Powell River arrived (some in creative costume) to contribute their good spirits and sense of fun as well as their money to this cause.
