With the completion of the George Gibson tournament in Parksville marks the end of the tournament season for 2019. Its worth mentioning that our club although not the biggest in the North Island District has done very well over the course of the season. Some of the achievements include at least one Courtenay team finishing in the prize money in every tournament except one. Teams finishing first second and third in the same tournament and first second and fourth in another. Congratulations to all our tournament players.
CLBC Ultimate Bowls 2019 September 2nd, 2019
What a day of bowling! it was nice to hear the enjoyment on the green as the teams racked up points like never before, Over the 25 games played they scored 2850 points averaging 114 points per game All this in five ends. Amazing. Based on feedback from the players they really enjoyed the format of the Ulitmate Bowls games, the wonderful lunch courtesy of April and Michael; Many members stayed behind to socialize after the prizes were awarded. Thank you to all the participants, all the helpers, and of course, the weather cooperated making for a very enjoyable day for all.
